Street Works Qualifications & Card Renewal Guide

Under the New Roads and Street Works Act (1991) (NRSW), all excavation, maintenance, and reinstatement of underground apparatus on public highways must be carried out by competent personnel.

By law, a qualified operative must be on-site at all times while street works are in progress, and the site must be overseen by a certified supervisor.
